    What does everyone think????

Would I get banned for simply placing an Adsense referral button on other peoples myspace profiles???

yes, yes you would. because technicly there are other ads on the page under myspace itself. thus breaking the ToS...

    Edited: oh..adsense referal....hmm...

But its not an ad its a referral to the Adsense program.

Seems to be some difference in what can be done with ads and referals...

Well the more I think about this I am going to put a referral on my own profile with no urging anyone to take action.

I'll report back if banned :D

Well I posted Adsense ads on craigslist once but it didn't work so well..

I wrote and asked them if that was okay and they said no.

Why are you taking a poll on this? Google doesn't decide who to ban based on popular opinion. Ask Google directly.

This discussion is pointless, google referrals are JAVASCRIPT, you can't put JAVASCRIPT on myspace

Even if you could put javascript, you'd be banned. It's against their TOS to put your code on subdomains that you don't own. i.e.- MySpace

You and giraph are both right the javascript won't work on the profile.

Thank you for the TOS reminder....I had forgotten that part ;)

I have never thought of this before, although it could be a good debate.
I don't think google would like it though, and as alraedy stated, you cannot use js on mysapce, unfortunately.

quite. of course you can link to a page with referrals on them, but in my niche that would be pretty pointless.

Ok I think I perfected the evil plan

I could build a standalone page on mysite extolling the virtues of earning adsense revenues...maybe post a few pics as well of small check amounts that I have

and then take a screenshot of the Adsense referal buttons and use that to link to my website page from my Myspace profile.

    ;)

    Thoughts??

But, why don't you just say "CLICK HERE FOR GODS SAKE" instead of using a screenshot of the referal button?

Thats a good point however when marketing it's often best to leave God out of things.
