    Hi,
I want to inform you (because I have not read it here in this Forum so far) that at the moment is existing a Adsense Worm or an Adsense Hack.

3 or 4 Adsense Users in this Forum have the same Problem (minimum)
    The revenue raised 5000 %

I have read it in the german Abakus-Forum:

    http://www.abakus-internet-marketing.de/foren/viewtopic/t-18750.html

But sorry people, I really can NOT translate this all to you in english, because my english is bad. So you must translate it for yourself, sorry.

    Okay freetranslations.com:
Looks like he jumped 5000% in earnings on one of his sites, and despite obvious first assumptions, however it's much greater.

Looks like all possible computing centers in German universities to click at the same time on ads (automatically). 12,000 clicks per day, and obviously the revenue goes with it.

He thinks it was targetted directly at him, and that it's just a worm traveling around ignorant people's computers that goes clicking on ads. Obviously he's confused why it would target him.

He says Google doesn't stand a chance, since all clicks are different IPs (and physical computers for that matter) due to the nature of the worm.

That's about it. Looks like there's a worm moving about that clicks ads (which sites, we do not know) and is very difficult for Google to detect, for obvious reasons.

ROFL. Fryman, I knew that already. I once tried Babelfish to translate a Spanish community document for my mum. When it got to the bit about the black skinned Jesus jumping over the green gate I was laughing so much I snorted Heineken all over the computer. I kind of gave up on on-line translations after that. :)

Okay. It was a tough job but I have translated it in some meaningful way.

Seems like someone used Click bot or somthing like that on his site using a proxy list.
    Something strange.

I think he had made some enimies somewhere. And that person is taking his or her revenge. Say for example two people argue here at DP forum and then one person sees the private site of the opther in the Signature. And starts click frauding to the other's site. This will cost dearly to the owner of the site. Bcoz 5000% revenue boost will also make his 4% or 5% real revenue illegal.

Not terrifically amusing if it happens to one of your own sites though. Much as I would love a 5000% increase...heck, a 500% increase, I would have a letter to Google as fast as my little fingers could type.

Let's hope Google is on top of this from the go.

There was a potential security hole, issue, or something along those lines relating to Google very recently. It didn't get much press and it's plugged now ... sorry, I can't remember where I read it.

I don't think that a jump of that magnitude will cause a problem. Google know that with a jump like that something is amiss. They also know that no one doing click fraud on their own sites are going to cause a jump of that size, so it's obviously some outside influence.
I tihnk it highly unlikely that anyone would loose their account for jumps of that magnitude - you will obviously loose that income, but I can't see you loosing your account.
The jump is simply too big for someone attempting click fraud it's obvious that it's someone or something out to cause damage.

yap. there is a time my adsense was attacked by some one i meet in a religious debate. i already had tracked his IP. so when i noticed that his ip appears many times in just one page, i imediately contacted G with the said IP, and G confirms it and told me that charges on that clicks will sent back to the advertisers.
