Is it 100% always true that no borders is better? because im building a video site for a very specific niche and it pays pretty well. theres another person who already has about 2k pageloads per day but he is in germany so hes not taken my target market. he has rounded borders around his leaderboard adverts, and i decided to do the same because it makes it more user friendly because they know where adverts are. i think that most of my target market would leave the site if they accidentaly clicked an ad. so back to my original question. Is it ALWAYS better to have your ads borderless?
I use borderless ads. It depends if you really want your ads to stand out. Just remember, do not blend too much to the point of deceiving your readers in any way. ;D
Most of my audience will be from the ages of 10-20 so i wouldnt really like to attempt in decieving them, and i have managed to block out all the low paying ads ( 1-20 cents ) and only have good ones off topic: if i can reach serps spot #1 in my keyword im estimating to get around $3-5 per day atleast. good considering i only made $180 through random and lucky clicks
Without borders is better. However if you are getting accidentally clicks then you should use borders so your user know that this is an ad.
If you have a light bg then you shouldn't use borders, but if you have a dark bg you should use borders to draw attention to them BTW, How did you know how to block the low paying ads?
thanks. ill explain how to block low paying ads. i did it by typing the url of each individual advert into my internet browser and looking at the sites. if it looks mfa or had adsense ads on it, this usually meant that it wont be paying much. also sometimes they have crappy domain names. i blocked out all the duplicate sites ( this one dude had 3 sites with the same look so i knew he was mfa or something like that ) try not to make the list too big.
I always use borderless ads, since it allows the adsense ads to blend in well (increasing CTR). However, each webpage is different, and the key is always to test different ad configurations on your own site, and see which works best.
Yeah i think ill just change from borderless to borderfull? btw just got my signature set up. anyone here know what runescape is?
How your site is designed and where you place your ads determine whether border-less or border ads will work best for your site.
It all depends on your site's design really. The owner of play addicting web games generates $100/day with his ad placement. I personally always use borderless.
Again this really depends on the design of your site. I myself prefer to use borderless ads that blend in with my site. Just use any method you can to make your ads look like they are not ads.
