    A very open ended question, what are your wishlist as far as adsense/adlinks goes, from both both publsiher and advertizer perspective.

    Like my wishlist from Publisher aspect:

    - Ability to change font
    - Ablity to customize Adlinks page

    Advertizer:

    - To have click report from google with IP

    Please add on your points in the wishlist.

    All I wanted was EFT. I promised I wouldn't ask for anything ever again if they set that up and they did... so I'll shut my mouth :D

    I'm very happy with the system as it is now...

    I do agree with you though that IP address for advertisers would be a very nice addition..... It would make sence to have it available...

    EFT was the only major thing on my wishlist too, and now they have it I'm pretty much content.

    If there was one thing I think they could improve on for me, it would be the algo that works out the pages content theme. I have a videogames website and frequently get "equine" adverts because the word "horse" occurs on the page.

    Since Google obviously tracks your IP address when you log in, they should automatically block your IP from being able to click your own ads.

    That way people don't freak out when they click their ads by accident....

    I used to think that as well. But then you have to consider that most people connect via an ISP that has assigned them a temporary (dynamic) IP address. So could the AS system keep up with all the changing IP's? I don't think so.

    I already emailed google with my suggestion to add a new parameter telling it not to deliver ads to any IP listed.
    e.g.
    google_no_show_ip = x.x.x.x;
    or
    google_no_show_ip = x.x.x.x, x.x.x.x;
    or
    google_no_show_ip = x.x.x.x-x.x.x.x;

    AmyCy, I've had a fixed IP for so long I didn't think of that either. Although by adding the param people could update it whenever they were assigned a new IP. Better then nothing.

    btw: I posted a message in this thread about an ASP class module I wrote to help me with this. In addition to making it easier for me to manage my ads across all my include files I can also set it to not deliver ads to a list of IP's or a list of page names (e.g. login.asp etc) or if 3 have already be written to the page. Its available free to whoever wants it and I am looking for feedback.

    To answer the question directly I just want more clicks :)

    I just want three ads instead of two or four in an ad unit.

    I don't think that's too much to ask.

    I wish for adsense to pay for a new H1 Hummer.

    But on the technical end... I wish adsense would implement the same click fraud techniques already in use by other ad agencies because I'm fed up of reading posts from people who got booted due to invalid clicks and claim they are innocent. After all, what if they are innocent?

    How can you prevent someone from taking your adsense code, and putting up a site that is designed to violate the TOS blatantly with your adsense code slapped in there? YOU CAN'T.

    For example.. if someone puts up a site that says:

    CLICK HERE TO SUPPORT OUR SITE
    (then your adsense code below)

    Then they click on the ad multiple times from a dial up account, log into another dial up number to get a different ip address, then send an email to google to report the site as violating the adsense TOS (which happens to have YOUR adsense code on it).

    You then get an email from google saying your account has been suspended for invalid clicks.

    Since you get no details of the incident from google and have no knowledge of what your competitor did, you are just out of luck.

    So my wish is - Publishers are given the ability to protect their accounts. How? By allowing us to enter in valid domains in our account info that we as publishers acknowledge that we will be placing our adsense codes on.

    This way if someone with bad intentions decides to put my adsense code on a site they created to violate the TOS and get my account suspended.... since the domain they use will not be in my approved list of domains that I publish my code on, any clicks generated on the bogus site will not be deemed valid - and the advertiser is not charged, I am not paid, and my account is safe.

    Revenuepilot, another ad agency I use on many of my sites has measures in place, and I don't fear of losing my revenuepilot account due to click fraud because:

    1. I'm not doing anything wrong in the first place
    2. If a competitor attempted to click on my links multiple times in hopes of getting me booted from revenuepilot, it wouldn't happen because of the measures already in place that would prevent the advertisers from getting charged for those invalid clicks.

    Here are some of the measures that revenuepilot has in place:

    Fast multiple clicks from same ip are invalid and the advertiser does not get charged and the publisher doesn't get paid for those.

    Clicks from proxy servers are considered invalid, no charge to advertiser, no payout to publisher for those.

    Clicks from non approved countries are invalid, no charge to advertiser, no payout to publisher for those.

    .....
    All I'm saying is - if smaller ad agencies can implement anti-click fraud measures - and as an honest publisher I do not worry about getting booted from their program due to any dishonest actions of anyone else.... I wish that adsense would give me that same secure fuzzy all over kind of feeling as well.

    I wish they had reporting by ads: That is, you would know exactly which ads:
    1) people were clicking on.
    2) had been showed on your site

    And then give us better ways of selecting which ads we wanted on our site.
