Adsense vs Kontera contentlinks

Which can be more effective for a forum site ?
Adsense or Kontera ..

Please help me

 

i run a forum site.... when my payment per click dropped 50% with adsense recently i signed up with Kontera.... to make a long story short they paid even less than google, their links slowed down my forums BIG TIME and their claimed amount of page views on my forums seemed low... i dumped them after a week

 

Adsense is still the best option, but Kontera can be reaaly effectivefor some people.

 

So, are you back to using adsense?

 

Adsense and kontera are diff thing one is text,banner,search ads service and another is pure inline text service.

In payment terms kontera pays as low as 1ct/click(my 1st click) while adsense never paid me below 5cts

 

I use Adsense for normal websites and forums and Kontera for blogs (adding Adsense ads to business blogs does not appear very professional to us).

 

I know kontera is not an alternative to adsense but will it be helpful for forum sites

 

A lot of forum owners recently seem to be complaining that Kontera slowstheir forums down, but it does not seem to be the case with normal site owners.

 

I checked up grownupgeeks.com's forum..
The site loads first only then contentlinks appear ..
I don't think its slow.
just see for yourself

 

What's the different though? Normal sites and forum sites seem to run hand-to-hand.

 

I've tried kontera on a few sites and its just been useless for me. i think i was getting around .02 cents per click.

 

yeah, kontera works great in my forums, on some days it makes more than Adsense, and it does not slow it down. Using them together is the best option

 

I tried Kontera once... it seemed to bog my site down from a performance perspective... so I dropped them. I can't afford my pages to load slower than they already do... ;-)

 

Agreed on their payments. It's lower compared to Adsense.

 

Have you ever had any reports of slow-loading from using Kontera or no?

 

Kontera cannot replace adsense but it sure suits/helps content-rich sites like blogs ..

 

God I would hate to have Kontera installed on a forum. That just spells disaster from the offset. Too slow and posts don't need to be relevant to top plus low payout. As every one has said above keep Kontera to blogs and maybe wiki's?

 

Kontera is additional revenue for a site. It shouldn't be seen as a replacement. Personally I would only put Kontera on a content website and not a forum, but maybe that's just me.

 

The best way is to use them together !
