I make pretty decent money with Adsense, but it's nothing special. I'm currently averaging about $10/day, and I'd like to make more (who wouldn't). Anyway, I've been seeing a lot of those IntelliTEXT ads (or a similar type of ads, where keywords within your page are converted into hyperlinks to advertiser pages), and they look much, much cleaner than having a big slab of Adsense ads on the site or in a box somewhere on the site. My question is, has anyone ever switch over to one of these IntelliTEXT type ads from Adsense? If so, have you seen an increase, or a drop, or somewhere in the middle? Just looking for some experiences with this. I'm trying to gauge if I should give it a go for a month or two... BTW Having one of these ads on the same page as one with Adsense ads definitely violates the ADsense TOS, correct?
I know of a couple premium publisher status sites that display both AS and Intelli.. honda-tech.com for one
I think IntelliTXT can be extremely annoying. How does the visitor know when you are actually linking to something or when it's the IntelliTXT. Does it show in a different color or have a tooltip or something?
i agree to Crusader and Shoemoney . IntelliTXT ad providers are using hovers and those are most annoying and irritating for visitors.
The ones that I have seen have all been solid, bold light green. They also have two lines underneath them. You an easily distinguish these from the regular hyperlinks, which are 99% blue and underlined. I really don't see it as being too annoying, as I think it would save space on the page that would otherwise be taken up by Adsense ads.
No , I use Kontera AdLinks. These ad units do not violate Google's TOS, and I haven't seen a change in AdSense CTR as a result of including them. I'm pretty pleased with the results and may roll it out on some other sites. Joel
Do you have proof or anything where Google states that it is acceptable? As far as I can gather they are contextual and according to Google's ToS you may not display any other contextual advertising on the same page as Adsense ads.
Good question! There has been some enlightening discussion on this thread. http://www.adsensechat.com/showthread.php?t=1198 Joel
