Adsense VS CommissionJunction

Anyone use both? If I under stand EPC (from CJ) correctly... that is the price you get paid per 100 clicks? So if you get say, 10 clicks, you get 10% of the EPC? I could be way off, but that is considerably more than adsense is paying me for clicks. (Plus the possibility of getting good commission, and the ability to carefully choose really good advertisers.)

Any thoughts? What worries me, is I remove a lot of spyware, I see BFast is connected with CJ, and spybot (i think) detects some BFast stuff as spyware. It may just be a cookie, but the last thing you want is your site hooked up with someone who is detected as spyware. So thoughts? Advice? Anyone used both of these?

    Thanks a lot!

Commission Junction is performance based, on PPC. EPC is the average EPC users get (some get higher, some get lower). But the end user needs to do something (usually buy something) in order to make any money.

None of the companies I work with are PPC based, all of them are end result based like normal affiliates.

I find that adsense is much better for my market, but everyonce in a while I will throw up a CJ ad for a few days to see how it does.

I use both and for different reasons.

    Shawn is right.

CJ is generally used for affiliate links where someone actually has to buy something. And in some cases the item has to actually be in stock and shipped to them before you get your percentage.

AdSense is used for getting paid for every click on an ad. So it doesn't matter if the page your ad is linking to has a good conversion rate or not.

EPC are fairly decieving as it all depends on your particular implementation and traffic.
So try it out on your site and see which performs better, AdSense or CJ affiliate.

I ran cj ads for two months on a site that I had adsense. There is no problem running them at the same time.

Interestingly though, for all the clicks I generated to CJ over a two month period, not a dime in commission was earned. I took the CJ links down (468x60 banners) and replaced with another adsense link.

I also had a similar experience with CJ. I ran a few of their programs for about 3 months. During that time I provided them with a gazillion impressions... thousands of clicks.. and they only paid me $20.

Adsense is the way to go. CJ is a scam. At least in my opinion.

    Good luck.

what interests me, is that a CJ bot comes to my site almost daily, though I have never run CJ on my site..
