AdSense is an advertisement application run by Google. Website owners can enroll in this program to enable text, image, and more recently, video advertisements on their websites. While Affiliate marketing is an Internet-based marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate's marketing efforts. Between these two lucrative programs, which one do you prefer most? And which one do you think is more profitable, faster, and easier to implement..?
AdSense is very easy to implement and pays for the daily bread. Affiliate marketing needs more research to find which product/service works better, it never gives regular income, but occasionally provides the butter and jam.
Agree, I am also concentrating on affiliates, although still running adsense simultaneously on most sites... Guess a lot of good sales flow out with the clicks (worth cents) on adsense, so the last 2 sites I've made do not have any ads and I'll also remove them from 1-2 more sites, which have good affiliate earnings. However, for sites not precisely aimed at the right keywords, Adsense still works nice.
It depends on your website/niche, generally adsense is very good because of instant money making option.
Absolutely.. Although I haven't really been using adsense much anymore because with an affiliate site its much easier to make significant income with low traffic. Basically, set up your site for the people who are already interested in the product or service to learn more, get the best deal, or get advice on how to get the most out of it.
Heres one example: site A makes $1-2 per day with Adsense = $0,05 per click. But for 1 sale with affiliates i get $10-20. So i'd say expertise your sites onto affiliates and you'll see the difference.
Adsense is usually easier. But depending on the site I run, i either use affilliates or adsense or other forms...You just need to test everything. Like an arcade site would do better with adbrite because the ppm most people dont click ads unless you blend really well, and when they do click ads, they dont end up buying anything.
It depend on what your site content. If your site is about technology, you can consider technology product to promote. But I'll recommend amazon
Agreed. In one of the polls here in dp, most of the members reported that they earned a lot from affiliate marketing than from adsense. Of course, adsense is the first option for most of the webmasters and only if they are not successful, they go for the alternatives or affiliate marketing.
It depends on how to you know about selling and searching. Affiliate marketing requires us to learn the art of selling, while Adsense require us to be resourceful. In both cases, I think both of them are not easy. We can only make it not harder.
