Hi guys Ive just recently submitted for adsense and I've been researching various ways to promote my site. Can you share any tips or ideas, I would appreciate it. Thanks.
Hey Shadow, There are tons of techniques plastered all over the forum. First off, I'd make sure your content is unique and you are working with a niche that you enjoy. That way you can write useful unique content... If you're going to start a blog, I suggest you purchase your own domain and hosting. Promoting a website isn't easy... so if you get a free website account/blog you will be promoting something you don't really own. Waste of time, IMO. Plus a unique domain is easier to remember. Check out the SEO section of the forum... do a little onsite SEO, link build, sign up to social networking, etc. Don't slap on ads in places that make the website look like slam. There are techniques to put them on yet not make the site look ugly and trashy. Read up on a lot of the threads in this section. Theres a TON of information on here. Goodluck!
The best tip is to search the Digital Point forum. Come back regularly and participate in the discussions here and it would be hard not to learn something.

So many knowledgeable people around here. I've learned a lot by pariticpating the last few months. Read, read, read. Lots of Google searching on topics like AdSense, Traffic, Blogging, etc. Also, feel free to use my site (in sig) as a resource. Hopefully it will helpful for you.
Go for it. I'm starting a blog on http://www.Fka200.com. Just loaded WP on it yesterday, and customization/etc will come this weekend. I decided I might as well start a blog for all those questions that come up where I repost what I've said 50 times. I think in December/January, I might also make a post on how to make GOOD money using a hidden online gem. Something worth thousands, hundreds of thousands, etc. of dollars but everyone is neglecting. Might be time to let some stuff out of the bag if people are willing to hear. Instead of posting without backing up what I say, I might actually post up pictures, etc. Kind of vague, but online 1 money making technique released will no longer be making money tomorrow. I've hinted about it in the past, but I'm trying to work on something a little bit longer then will go all out with specifics. PS: Thanks for the rep Fairy!
First you need traffic! Without it no money or clicks or impressions! Submit your site or blog to search engines at submitexpress.com, then an you link so some directories. One good one is Link Referral. After that it is important to make sure your site will be available to a even larger audience. Install Stumble Upon toolbar, then review your site there, now you should start to get some thousands of visitors if your website is a good one. New with adsense? The best tip is to never click your own ads. Thats the easiest way to get canned. It might be tempting when you see your not getting any clicks at first, but just build the content, the clicks will come. Its not a magic toothfairy, you do have to work and promote your site for a while before you earn the big money. Depends on your sites niche. Every site has a different way to promote it. Some myspace, some forums, some directories, toplists, email (not spam), friends, articles. Theres tons of info just do a search here. Good luck Jason
