Adsense Video Units -- Do you need content on the pages you place these ads on?

I setup a trial Adsense Video Unit on this page

I literally wrote about 50 words, tossed up the video ad unit, and am going to see how it does.

Do you need content on the page (like you do for regular adsense ads), or does the video count as the content?

I couldn't find any info about this from my brief search on the net, so any help is greatly appreciated.

first of all I would chose a different size for your link units ads under the navigations bar.
The way it is now it looks like shrinked inside an table and google might punish you for that

video ads have the same requirements as text or link unit ads and needs content. you cannot place the ads on an empty page or 404 page.

 

Yeah but the video itself is content...no?

 

Thought you need about 300 words of content for your adsense ads to be triggered?

Oh and i stay away from video units. Just text for me
