AdSense Utility - Simple Utility to Check Your AdSense Revenue

I was the person behind the program called Revenue Checker for Google AdSense, which was used by couple thousands of Google Publishers and it had tons of features, like detailed stats and graphical charts for almost every aspect of Google AdSense experience. Anyhow, when Google changed their logging and couple other schemes (well over a year ago) I decided to close the website and stop supporting at that time no longer working program. It would require so much time, which I haven't had, that I was forced to do so... Plus, at the time I was very busy with other projects, so I was pretty sure I will never ever get back to working on the program.

Anyhow, to keep this short: Eventually I changed my mind and also finally got some free time to work on it, but unfortunatelly I realized, that there is so much changed (including the programming language I used to work with), that old program is simply unusable, I was unable to convert it to newly released .Net framework either
But because I really needed something similar to my old utility (something to quickly show me how much I am earning and give me some estimates and predictions) and couldn't find anything similar on the net (although there is a lot of choices), I have written a new (but much more simpler) software and also created a very simple website for it.

I like the idea, but I'd rather have these rather elaborate options added to my widget in Vista.

 

I gave Vista try and after 3 months of driving me crazy I decided to get rid of it.
Unless they come up with SP1, I am not wiling to waste my time again.
But of course one day when we all start to use it, I will probably use its widgets and maybe convert my utility to work with it.

Wonderful, but I get "Please first enter correct Google AdSense credentials" although I am 100% sure that my e-mail/password are correct.

 

I have asked two different people to try and both were fine.
Strange, it's a new program, could be a bug. Maybe if you're outside of USA or Canada and your adsense page is somewhat different, so program's assumption on html desing are incorrect when parsing out data.
Hard to say at this point.
Anyone else having a problem?

Yes, and the firefox add-on is better than an application.

 

I'll make a fix for those in Europe. It should be fairly simple.
Anyhow, regarding firefox notifier, I use that before, but stopped, because I didn't want to open firefox everytime I wanted to see my revenue.
This is on the windows tray and I can see my revenue with one click immediatelly, doesn't matter if I am browsing or watching a movie at the time.
But if you don't have any use for it, you don't have. This is free, who wants it, can use it, who doesn't like it, doesn't have to

 

it looks an intresting idea but i think there will be people who are going to afraid of giving their adsense pass. to someone else

 

I understand that, but that is the problem with all programs for adsense, plus many of my previous customers (i had couple thousands of them) were already using it and trust me.
You can submit my utility to a third party for a security review if you want, you have my blessing to do so, but at the end, to use it or not, it's really your own choice, nothing I would say here can convince you otherwise.

 

I also worry about giving away my login and password. Never know what info they are able to see.

Alright... you win guys,...enough about this program... lets just forget it exist.
I really don't feel like explaining obvious differences.
Should have keep it for myself and do not release it publically free of charge.
Next time I'd know better.

I have changed my mind and have worked on it for little longer and released a new version, which has numerous fixes implemented, although it will still work only with US and Canadian AdSense accounts.
I think some people might find it useful.
When my program is parsing data from the page, there is something in Europian and other accounts which is different and I do not have such account to test it.
I am planning to switch the way this software works to use csv files, that will enable it for all Google AdSense accounts.

Security appears to be a repeating question here, so let me answer:

All variables, including your account name and password are encrypted using Triple DES encryption.
This Data Encryption Standard (DES) I use, was developed by an IBM team and adopted as a national standard. Triple DES is a minor variation of this standard. It is three times slower than regular DES but its is billions of times more secure. Triple DES is an excellent and reliable choice for the security needs of highly sensitive information.

All data that you enter into this program are only passed to your secure Google AdSense page and back to your desktop, all through https encrypted data transfer and on a top of this: everything saved locally on your computer (single settings.ini file) is encrypted by Triple DES.

I, as a developer of this software cannot gain an access to your account and all the communication is done as if you logged in through secure Google website (https).

Only time when programs connects to anywhere other than your Google AdSense account is when it checks for available utility upgrades. There are no variables passed when software is performing the check, other than your current version of AdSense Utility.

Please note, that you are allowed to submit this application to any third party of your choice for a security audit without our written permission to confirm all the statements above!
