I placed google ads everywhere I possible could on my website and monitored them for a few weeks, the results we surprisingly low, resulting in around 100 clicks per day which was very strange, I then decided to remove most of the google ads on the site and left two simple ads on one of my content related pages, shockingly upon doing so I immedietly saw an insane jump in the number of clicks, the CPM and revenue. There is no other way to explain this than coming to the conclusion that google doesn't credit you for every click and more than likely marks off a number of them as irrelavant. Your thoughts please.
People don't click links that don't interest them? Just an idea. "two simple ads on one of my content related pages"
Well yes I understand that however the two simple ads on a content page had been there quite a while and I never saw that many clicks, immedietly upon removing all the other ads they spiked, I doubt that something like that happens just by chance.
You can always use asRep or some other ads tracking system. They are not 100$ accurate but you can make yourself an idea about what's going on.
I saw a spike within hours of removal, I replaced the ads I removed with auctionads so I doubt that was the case.
I had a similar problem when I had a bunch of adsense links all over every page. I cut the links down to a couple per page and the clicks were more often for sure.
Yup, thats exactly what I believe, also Auctionads reports an insane amount of clicks in the area's where the Adsense ads were, which shows more proof that adsense was under reporting the clicks. I honestly think Adsense isn't a good tool for publishers that don't know how to carefully place ads for the best conversions rates. Adsense takes alot of work to make any money from it, I would like to even bet that they are possible still under reporting the number of clicks, I wonder what my results would be like if I tried another ad network in its spot. The good thing about adsense is that those that know how to manipulate adsense are able to earn big and consistantly.
