Adsense trojan active?

Wow that really is scary. Google loosing control over their own ads, I hope someone is on this over there.

 

What are you talking about? Google did not lose control over anything. It is a hack on the user's machine, not on google. A very simple modification of the hosts file to force the user to use a different ad server.

PS. I dont really care cuz im running a mac

 

All I am saying is it seems like Google would be all about protecting its cash cow one way or another.

 

The only way is to "hack" the infected users and restore their hosts file

 

Well, bot networks existed for a long time. This is nothing new, it is just this time they target adsense. So what? Those who let their computers get infected aren't really buyers or ads clickers. I do not see how this can affect the majority of publishers.

 

I'm sure they'll have it fixed as soon as possible.
