this is my site www.johngrc.com How can I have clicks and increase traffic.I have no revenue. Also how to use keywords in the pages. Thank you
Well my friend, making this website profitable is a tall order, but I'll try to help you with some useful information. 1.) Since you're posting this in the adsense forum, I'm assuming you're trying to generate revenue through AdSense. The problem is I don't see very much ad placement on most of the pages. Do you have an AdSense account? Do you know how to place ads using adsense? When I typed the url in my address bar, I didn't see any ads whatsoever until I browsed the site for a few minutes. You'll definitely have to place more ads if you want to generate any revenue (while following Google's ad placement policies of course). 2.) Not to be judgmental, but the way your site is designed seems pretty archaic. How did you design the website? Did you code it yourself? Did someone code it for you? Did you use any type of blogging software like WordPress? While these questions may seem trivial, they are extremely important when trying to keep visitors interested in your site. Let me put it this way: if I were coming to your site looking to learn something about whatever your subject is, I would probably be there for a few seconds before I started thinking the site was built in the 90's, which would make me want to go elsewhere. ***Remember, one of the most important keys to being successful with adsense is keeping people engaged and interested in the site content. The more engaged they are, the longer they stay. The longer they stay, the greater the possibility that they click on an ad (assuming it's relevant to the site content). People don't usually click on ads within seconds of entering a particular site. They click on them if they believe the site is helpful and/or that they can find what they're looking for within the pages of the site*** I don't know about your budget, but you may want to consider investing in some high-quality themes that will leave a good, lasting impression on all of your visitors. Elegant Themes is a great resource, and it doesn't cost too much either. You may also want to consider using WordPress, if you haven't already. 3.) Even more than site quality, the urgency that the visitor has in finding an answer to their problems is even more important. It seems like your site is more "general interest" than "problem-solving". In my experience, general interests sites don't tend to generate lots of revenue from adsense, as visitors are just there to have a good time, paying little to no attention to the advertising. That's not to say that you can't change the direction of your site to a more "problem-solving" theme, but you may be better off starting a new project if you're looking to make any kind of significant money. I hope that doesn't offend you, it's just the reality of this business. It's the reason why adsense sites that focus on payday loans, weight loss, and money-making tend to have FAR more clicks than any other type of site. When people are looking for answers, they spend more time on the site. If they're desperate for an answer, they click more ads on the site. I know this from personal experience. 4.) As far as keywords are concerned, you just have to learn how to insert them into the content of your site. You can do this exclusively through words, or you can insert them into the different types of media that your site has (image tags, video tags, etc.) Don't worry about whether or not Google will recognize them, because they will, and they will match you to the right kinds of ads. ***It would take an entire page for me to show you how to effectively do this, but I've found that The Keyword Academy is a very good resource in learning how to do this. You have to pay a fee to access the information, but their take on this one subject alone is well worth the money. That may not have been the simple answer you were looking for, but if you take each of these points seriously (and work hard of course) you will be well on your way to generating the kind of revenue that you're hoping for.
Point 3 is important, visitors in problem solving mode are more likely to click on ads and even buy a product that could be a solution to their immediate issue.
