Hey everyone .....! I'm at the intersection and I must decide what lane to enter. I've made an application that will collect and process stock market information from yahoo finance. It will do this automatically. This application that will generate pertinent trading statistics for each separate stock for each price change. I've decided to use ASP.Net (3.5 of VS 2008) to display the information for free. All that having been said, now here's the key question. What web service would you suggest that I use to generate the most amount of AdSense traffic? I could use: 1) A $10/month HTML/SQL web service that a home server would automatically update at the end of each trading day. (This is the least expensive and of less investor interest.) 2) A $10/month HTML/SQL web server that a home server would automatically update during the business day the moment each share price changes! (This is a little more expensive, but is VERY troublesome. What if power is out for to long?) 3) A $60/month ASP.Net/SQL web server that will update the web site independently without the need of a home server at the end the trading day. (This is a medium expense of $720 a year. But it will disinterest those who want to see intra-day trading action as they occur.) 4) A $60/month ASP.Net/SQL web server that will update the web site independently without the need of a home server during the business day. It will recommend key transactions as they appear! (This will be the most appealing to most investors. But I must purchase an intra-day trading license from yahoo finance for $?.?? (I don't know)). In your opinion, what option do you think will generate the most amount of internet traffic? Don't worry. I'm only interested in you opinion. Thanks a lot. May each of you have a blessed day as the Lord wills. -- "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:" (John 3:14) "That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:15)
Then why did you post? I would post this if the OP was speaking in Marsian but this is clearly just trading question, if this is not your field then just don't post. Anyway, we are talking about stocks here, I believe intra day is the only way, by the time it gets updated with option 1 its too late already. Everything is real time man. Just look at the existing ones.
Project Mobius ..... It seems as though all those that I've posed this question also agree with you. Therefore I must pay the extra amount. Thanks for making your point so clear. God bless.... JEP_Dude
