Hi, I have a question about adsense TOS. It mentions that ads should not be displayed on pages containing violent content. Would this pertain to a site containg MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) and other fight videos? I appreciate any info or experiences on the issue. Thanx

I wouldn't consider that violent, unless you were teaching someone how to cut off an arm or something.

You should be fine with Martial Arts.

Martial arts is fine because I would assume it is regarded by many as a sport.

Those would be, yes, IMO. You might want to get those sorts of sites reviewed before making them live.

    I agree.

I wouldn't want to get banned from Google---Get it reviewed because once they ban you, its almost impossible to get unbanned!

My big question is what form are these videos themselves? Remember, you could have a copy of Bambi on your site and get banned for a whole different section of the TOS.

Edited: Maybe Dumbo is a better example than Bambi...there are a couple of different types of Movies that could have "Bambi" in the title :D

Lol..hillarious, Google owns YouTube where you see things there that can almost be considered porno, yet one has to think about implementing
adsense on a martial arts site, lol - can you say spreading paranoia?

People do this a lot, but don't realize that if ALL (or a lot) of your site's content consists of is nothing but YouTube video embeds, that IS a clear violation of YouTube's rules, and CAN get you banned from Adsense.

Yes. Make sure you keep that in mind.

A lot of members think that links/videos/etc. is content, but it really isn't. Adding some text can save your Adsense account (This is not directed to you, but at possible people who are reading this!)

    martial arts is ancient sport
so no worry abt getting banned by it unless you promote it to cause harm to anyone in any form

I see a whole lotta MMA sites out there with Adsense on them. So you're safe putting Adsense on yours. As for fight videos, as long as they are sanctioned MMA events, I don't see a problem going against Adsense TOS, unless they feature Kimbo Slice. :D
