I recently read that Google are no longer allowing adsense publishers to use any other publisher like YPN and others on the same domain as adsense is used on

is this the case ? if so its a really frustrating change ?

It can be frustrating yes. However, as google stole a leap on all competitors when they launched adsense, now the competitors are finally getting some publishers onboard (albeit many as alternative ads). Google dont want to make it easy for companies to take a piece of their pie.

The TOS change is basically google calling for 100% loyalty from its publishers - this will impact on all providers of contextual ads and can therefore help google maintain virtual dominance of the marketplace and severely raise barriers to entry for any new offering.

    :p

I hadn't checked into it as I didn't use any other contextual ones before. I was just replying as I had read on these forums the same info the guy who started the thread had written. I simply gave my opinion to the reason why they would do it.

Perhaps there is more behind the scenes info that hasn't been made public as to why the policy change was made.
