Well, you would have to try it to know for sure.

But top paying keyword lists generally don't work. I tried them and I went form earning $5/day to only $5.5/day with one of my pages. It was quite a let down.

    Hey,
I'm new here, but in reading posts trying to figure some seo stuff out (or make it more clear to myself, I should say! :) ) I saw this post and figured I'd tell you that I bought a cheap keyword list (that I didn't think would come in handy) about 2 weeks ago...and so far it's brought in some very interesting revenue once I put some of the words to use. If you're interested the url is: www.adsense-keyword-list.com . Good luck to you!

Looks suspicious to me, only for the fact that as previously noted elsewhere in this site, high paying keywords are really dependant on how expensive the service or product will bring in for the advertiser.

So the keyword for "loans" seems like that would be a good one, because it has such potential for the advertiser to make a lot of money through the interest of providing loans to prospective clients.

That site says "auto insurance quotes" brings in almost $50 bucks a click. Uhm...that sounds a little outrageous to me. I may be wrong though.

It reminds me of the "Get Rich in Real Estate - Buy my Book" scams. If it's so great why sell the list to potential competitors instead of doing it yourself? The trick is to find good paying words with few competing publishers. "Mesa-whatever lawyers" may be high paying but there are way more Adsense sites targetting this phrase than there are Mesa victims surfing and clicking on ads with feeble hands.

    Hi all,
I recently purchased one of these lists myself. Needless to say, the mere fact that maybe 1 in 20 ppl are bidding a high price for a given keyword does not earn you money. And that's all a list like this will tell you.

A keyword list is just a starting point. A damn fine starting point, if you use it accordingly. I have my own tools that process such lists for things like bid depth, KEI and so forth. I also see almost daily evidence of people doing just that. I saw someone recently building a site focused on a healthy prospect that wouldn't by a long shot be something you'd guess at. And that's the point of these lists. It's the phrases you won't guess, or pull off some freebie list that show great earning potential.

If you really want to get yourself a freebie list, explore the obvious, like the dp_adnetwork file for example (if you happen to be a coop member) etc.. :)

It's simple really - no one is going to hand you a get rich quick solution, for obvious reasons. They do however make a great starting point if you DONT expect riches overnight, and do your research.

    Cheers,

    JL

The keywords that actually make great $$$ are the ones where the bids are high and the number of publishers with pages doevoted to those words are low. I don't think someone who knows the answer would tell you. ;)

The big problem with those lists is that those advertisers who are forking out the big $$$ usually opt out of the content network for this very reason. They know the $$$ is hard for us webmasters to pass up and I will guarantee there is alot of click fraud going on for those high money keywords. So they opt out from displaying their ads on our sites so we are left with the advertisers who are way down the list.

I for one don't buy into keywords.

The way I see it, it's almost like making a website just for adsense.

This guy has 2 posts and they both are about buying his stuff.

    Build up some credibility first.

    Now, about keyword lists...

They have helped me tremendously. I wouldn't buy one at first. Get the free ones.

If it works, then buy one. Believe me, if the free ones work, they will pay for other lists.

A large part of Google's multi-billion dollar annual turnover comes from its nifty AdSense advertising program. The software enables website owners to drop in a piece of code to their pages that then serves advertisements provided by Google.

    How Does Google AdSense Work?

It all works dynamically and the adverts that are displayed based on the content of the page. So if a website owner places the Google AdSense code on a page about holidays then holiday ads are delivered onto the page automatically by Google.

Everybody wins because when people click on one of the ads - the advertiser gets a visitor, Google can charge a rate for the clickthrough and the website owner who is serving the ad gets a share of this revenue.

It's been an excellent model for all parties concerned and especially as Google has enabled even small website owners to take part which means accumulatively Google's advertising real estate is absolutely vast.

    Is The Monopoly Over?

But there may be trouble ahead for Google as, according to sources at CNETNews, Yahoo! is planning a very similar service to challenge Google's.

The two search giants have been up against each in the search advertising arena already but it is only now that Yahoo! seems poised to launch a monopoly-breaking attempt on Google's AdSense program.

This is all great news for smaller website owners as it means the two search goliaths will be vying to provide the best service and offering the best rates to compete for the lucractive ad space.

When Should You Accept Advertising On Your Website?

Well it's a difficult call. Do it too soon and you risk deterring visitors from staying on your website. Do it too late and you'll find that when you DO finally implement it people might not have seen it coming and they may leave your site in droves!

The best policy to adopt is, just like Google, to focus on RELEVANCE. Don't bombard your visitors with advertisements that are totally unrelated to their needs or interests or totally separate to the content you provide on your website.

And remember - often times it can be better to foster relationships and trust with your visitors with one eye on the longer term view rather than hit them with ads to make a small amount of cash in the short-term.
