I had posted this in my blog sometime back. Here are the tips:- 1. Don’t focus too much on CTR or CPC. Focus on taking care of your site visitors. 2. Don’t build too many web sites showing AdSense. Make 4-5 quality websites. 3. Develop content rich web sites about topics that you really care about. 4. Avoid using borders on AdSense ad’s. It decreases your CTR 5. 336×280 ad unit gives the highest CTR (No borders again) 6. Adwords traffic for Adsense is dieing. Google has realized that Googlers don’t want to click an ad and then get another batch of ads. They want quality content. If you got good content however depending on what your interest is you could try Adwords. 7. It is better to get 1000 clicks a day at $.10 than to make $10/click every other day if you don’t know anything about the target. 8. Google does not indicate if image advertisements or text ads perform better, so you are encouraged to experiment with both. 9. Serve the most expensive ads at all times. Up to three advertisements can be listed on each page. This decreases the value of the advertisements served and the cost per click. 10. In order to know how effective a ad placement is use distinct channels and subchannels within Google. This will allow you to discern what performs best. 11. The closer the advertisements relate to the webpage’s content; the higher the “click-through†the publishers will see. 12. A good place to get advice is from Google themselves! They have plenty of free resources to help you make the most of Adsense, including the “heatmap†which will help you to place your ads in the most profitable position. 13. Don’t blindly assume that sticking a nice big rectangle in the center above the fold will do it. It may, but depending on your content, it may annoy or inconvenience your users. 14. Google allows you to have up to three ad units and one link unit on your pages. If you have long pages with lots of text, can only use small ad units or are in a niche with a large ad inventory, multiple units can pay off. Keep in mind that the way ad serving works is that the higher value ads are delivered to the first ad unit block encountered in your code. 15. Always make sure that this first ad unit is displayed in the best location J 16. By simply using the Google heatmap you can improve a poor CTR. 17. To really integrate the ads in your posting you can place them in a floating div. 18. Section targeting allows you to suggest sections of your text and HTML content that you’d like to emphasize or downplay for the matching of ads to your site’s content. 19. Make sure you use the Competitive Ad Filter in your AdSense account to block non relevant or low paying advertisers. I'll add two more tips to the list. I am not sure how many of you will agree with me. These are purely from my personal experience. 20. Change your link color to blue to improve your click through rate. Blue is considered as the universal color for links on the web. 21. Change the URL color to the same color as the ad’s text. This surely makes the link color stand out.
you can block site from displaying ads on your site log in select adsense setup tab! then Competitive Ad Filter link! then put the url of the link that you do not want to display! and save changes!
ohok but how do you get the low paying ads or how can we find out if those links are not what the visitor is looking for.
not sure on that \ id like to know as well! also i wish there was a way to block different urls for each channel!
The purpose of the Competitive Ad Filter is to enable you to block specific ads, such as competitor’s ads, from appearing on your pages. By not taking advantage of the Competitive Ad Filter you’re losing money to MFA sites and Arbitragers. To remove low paying ads:- The best way to do this is preview all the advertisers who are showing up on your site. Filter out the made for adsense sites, the ones that don't provide anything to someone who clicks other than more ads. You can assume that ads for real products and services will pay better than ads for MFA sites, at least in the long run.
If you're looking to remove the low paying ads from your site have a look at http://www.adsblacklist.com.
I agree with these...as my experience showing that I got more CTR and of course more dollars by doing these. Cheers,
4 to 5 quality site may not push you to $100/day unless you have 5000+ unique content page targetting low competition niche. Whatever may be tips or tricks nothing works untill you have decent traffic. TRAFFIC IS UTMOST IMPORTANT. I've a website with 100 pages about dog disease with 100 unique article about different type of dog health problem. Each 2 to 3 page target one disease but number of search for each keyword is very low , yet i get the best targeted traffic from search engines [specially from google/msn , yahoo dont like it.I dont know why] and i am getting avg. $26/day from that site. I am in a process of building such low search volume niche sites at least 100 more within 3 months. So for me more sites=more money.
You can get $100 a day with single site or you may need several or even many. It depends on the traffic.
traffic traffic and traffic.. i think there is only one adsense tip to make over 100 dollars or more.. 1.More traffic more money That's all.............
don't really agree with why not build 50 quality websites?...and there has been tons of people with hundreds, or thousands of crappy websites...and they earn tons through adsense....so this tip really isn't all that true...though i'll give ya the fact that lots of high quality web sites are better than lots of crappy MFA...
