Looking into it furthere here is what I found from google adsense: This basically meaning for example in what they explained if you have a fruit website and you place a small image to the left of adsense ads of a green apple and then the adsense ad says buy green apples that is giving a relationship between your images and the adsense ads misleading visitors. If you notice in my websites and the example that I used in my first post the image ad is in no relation to my adsense text ads so this method is fine.
Digital point also has same kind of mix. For guests after the first post it shows 2 728 banners and one of them is image and other text. At least I see it like that when I am not logged in.
It's a great tip, hope it will work for me as well...but the main thing is that one needs a good content website and regular traffic...
I tested it and it did increase on click. it's for wii site but it was getting no click at all for few month. last few days actually getting more clicks.
Hey guys what do you think of my ad placement on this page http://gfxwallpapers.com/wallpaper/BMW-Z4-2009/ ? I have description about wallpapers on top of it and a google add next to it.. Any problems with this?
dude don't hijack a thread, post this in the adsense review forum http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=72
great advice, I have used adsense in a similar way to the OP and have had great success in clicks. Try it for yourself and u will see
Ntech25 You have a great site, but not one that is optimized for adsense. There are a couple of problems that I see if you intend to duplicate this tip. Your google ads barely peak above the fold. People are more inclined to click one of the links at the top of the page before they even get to the adsense ads. Secondly you have not blended your adsense ads in with your page. It shouts adsense. The tip is to make your adsense more like the rest of your page. Do away with borders and choose colors and text that match the site. That's a start anyway.
Great layout idea. I normally just use 2 text ads side by side. This seems like a great idea. Thanks for sharing.
I used to do this too, 2 big ads before your content but I found that it saturates the bids, therefore your CPC goes down. A better way is to simply use 1 big ad before your content. Believe it or not, this doubles or triples your CTR/CPC, you can see the heat map I made here: http://zedomax.biz/blog/make-money-online/new-adsense-and-chitika-optimization-heat-map-version-2/ Also, you can make some extra 10-30% by adding Chitika along with Adsense.
Great tip OP. If the content is decent, then Google shouldn't have a problem. More business for them anyway. Cheers.
This is very interesting. If I could get more than a 5% CTR I could probably make a good living from my website I'm going to to try this out in the next few weeks! Thanks for the tip
thanks i have added same thing to my website and i can see CTR increased and yes i do agree we are not braking any TOS of google...
nice sharing and trick, mate. and after doing some reading on GA TOS, surely agree that such trick will never against their tos. hope that will convert me to any better CTR and earning soon.
