I once contacted Google about putting Google ads on a specific page and I was not sure if it was allowed or not. They replied by posting a link to their TOS and said that the answer was in there I hope that you get a decent reply. It is a really good tip of yours and I have seen it now on many forums, V7n have it after some posts in their forum, but the image ads and text ads are spaced out slightly.
Someone commented on my blog and asked me to stop by and answer this. I didn't read through the entire seven pages of comments, but what he is showing in the first post is perfectly fine. What Google doesn't permit is when you line up thumbnails next to the ad units, so it appears that the pic is related to the ad next to it. They also don't allow things like arrows, etc... any image that would draw attention to the ads.
Great tip I used it before and decided to try it again. My memory served me right, and my CTR rate went up but not enough to make up for the horrible drop in amount per click for the image ad. So in the end I lose money with this set up but maybe others do not.
Excellent now that is a success story. Make sure to grab a free copy of my adsense quick tricks 2009 ebook with more of my tips in it for free.
I read this tip some time ago but, until now, I didn't test in any of my websites. I think it's time to experiment it. I'll do it in one of my blogs and, in one month, I'll say here how much my CTR increased.
Any reply from Google Adsense Support Team? I'm eagerly waiting for the answer. Should I go with this or not?
