"You can choose to review each ad before it appears on your site. You can set the price for ads bought directly on your site. You can even have AdBrite show another ad network (your Google AdSense ads, Burst, etc.) if we can’t meet your minimum revenue requirement."

Is this legal and approved by google?

    Thanks

What does Google have to do with it? You can't have Adbrite and Adsense on the same site, if that is what you are asking.

No I am not asking this. There is an option in Adbrite to display your adsense in case there are no ads from adbrite

You can mix adbrite and adsense as long as the formats are different so you don't mix up the two programs together..

    That's no problem with Google.
I use the same mechanism on my website. Adbrite displays adsense code when the do not have something more expensive to display!

I've read somewhere that is not quite ok to show adsense ads as alternate ads, meaning making adbrite primarily and adsense as an alternative.

That's just something I read once on a blog but I can't actually see the reason for this
