Adsense testing - How long?

I am interested in hearing from others in regards to adsense testing. How long (or how many clicks) do you run with certain colors and/or placement before you determine if the CTR's are effecting your content in a negative or positive way? How fast do you pull the plug or roll out to other sites?

    1 day? week? month?

    Thanks for your time..:)

1 Hour if you get 10K impressions a day. 2 years if you get 2 visitors a week.

How long isn't relevant. Significant statistics is what counts.

Depends of how many visits you got :

    20.000/day : a week could be enough
5/weeks : you will need more time

I don't know if i agree with that becasue some of the adsense ads on my sites are only published on certain days? I mean if you have a pro team site.. there will be a lot more high paying ads on the days or times they play?

Maybe i read too much into adsense timing..

I doubt that the number of advertisers actually taking the effort to fiddle about with timing is big enough for you to worry about it. And still, you need to accumulate impressions and clicks before you can tell so in the end it's more numbers based than time.

At least a week, as traffic, CTR and CPC can fluctuate day to day.

    it depends ..
but mostly one week is good from Mon-Sun to get all days and nights and on and off days data to analyze things better.

I agree with both Tops30 and Mong. It's a numbers thing more than time, but I'd still hang out with those ads for at least a week to catch all times for best coverage.
