Hey, I've been an adsense publisher for a few months now, and I really wanted to know how the taxing system works?

What exactly do I have to do with my earnings from Google in terms of taxation?

I'm a young adult and very clueless in this area of the economy, so any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks :)

I have been wondering this also before, however I am not yet using AdSence.

Also I think this will depend on where you live and if you've got other income coming in from a job etc.

I have only been using adsense for less than a year myself but am expecting they will send a 1099 if you make over $600 or $900...

If you are a non-taxpayer then there is nothing to worry about. When you open up the IRS code book, it says Dear Taxpayer... if this does not apply to you then nothing else in the code book does either.

Nobody can answer because you don't say which country you're in. Laws are different in each country.

In general, though, you are required to pay taxes on all income, including Google Adsense revenue. The question probably comes down to whether Google (or your local payment processor) shares your income details with the government in your particular country.

Yep, Where I live I get a statement from Google and I forward that to my accountant. Its reported as earnings and I have to pay taxes on it.
