I am wondering if we have to delcare our adsense earnings while filling up IRAS- IR8A form?

I already earn from my job and have filed taxes in the past. This is my first year with adsense. Under other income column in IR8A form, do i have to specify my Adsense earnings?

if anyone has any clue, please let me know. I don't want to default on taxes and i don't mind paying a few thousand dollars more and be in good terms.

Does adsense earnings qualify as income or is it's a income generated in foreign country? I am thinking of sending them an email. If anyone knows their singaopore office email, please let me know.

I am permanent resident in singapore just FYI.

income tax is different in different countries. about the income part of it, yes you do have to report that. about the income being considered as an income of a foreign wage earner or the income being generated in a foreign country depends on local tax law. usually if you live in a country (in this case Singapore) and thats your parmanent place of residence, and if you generated that income being at your place of residence means thats local income. but as i said earlier, tax law is different in different country and i suggest you talk to a a local tax consultant. sending an email to google will not help as google doesn;t give you tax advice and tehy don;t know tax law of all the countries

sultan, i agree with you that tax laws are different. Unfortunately no such information is available online on IRAS so i am kind of dependent on someone whos is a adsense publishers (earned significant money) and paid or not paid taxes.

Maybe i would send an email to IRAS and ask them about it. I am sure they would say pay taxes :D

oh! i'm sure they will. and they will love you for it. but talking to a tax consultant would be a good idea as those people always know some tricks and loopholes. you are allowed to avoid tax and everyone should, its evading which is felony.

You can declare it under additional income (if only you choose to).

If you are earning peanuts, I don't think it matters. If you always have large income from adsense going to your bank, it's better to declare.
