Check this url http://adwords.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=6099&topic=61 They say they track conversions on the publisher sites for 30 days What does it means It means we are not smart priced based on conversions to advertisers as had that been the case, then within 30 days a publisher who had been smart priced earlier should have received the conversions benefit-so conversions is not a factor in smart pricing Well i assume the dreaded "back button" effect is the culprit of smart pricing Sorry to say this again, i had posted it elsewhere also The publisher sweats to make a great website The visitors clicks on the ads on his website Lands up in a crap adwords landing page He hits the back button and google considers it poor traffic and you get smart priced known as "back button" effect Well who is to blame here, the poor publisher of course, but why who created those landing pages(the advertiser of course) and who approved them (Google of course), so where are we publishers here Give us the right through some rating system for these landing pages, may be through the site preview tool where we can give a rating of 1-5 for the landing pages and that rating can decide who moves up and down in the adblocks and see some great landing pages and get higher conversions for the advertisers What do you guys think?
