AdSense slows down page loading

I don't know if this is a problem for anybody else, but my site(s) where I have AdSense ads takes a long time to load. i know it is not only on my site, because other sites I visit regularly seems to have the same problem.
It could just be my computer that is having some sort of problem so if anyone else are seeing the same problem, what would be the problem? is it the new DoubleClick (gogleads.g.doubleclick.net)that is affecting the load?

    It might be your ISP.
or you can reduce adsense ads units.

Recently I have also noticed sometime adsense server is slower in delivering ads, thereby slowing down the page load.

Someone I know notice that too, perhaps it depends on the server of the site.

Since the page is loading very slowly you can see what page it is trying to access and then I see something like google.g.doublclick.net so it seems Google is loading ads from a doubleclick site and this might be the cause for the slow loading. Someone suggested to reduce ads on my site, but it is like that on every site that uses google ads.

some times i also face the same problem but I think it problem of our Internet service or computor.Last two i am observing the internet problem at my local area and slow page loading. If your page has more picture Ads then it will also take too much time to load the page.

It's normal that it slows down the loadtime... Sometimes it's a bit more, sometimes very little.

Try putting the javascript code in an external file (will help with SEO too)

Seems like google doesn't think it is a big problem since it is still going on. Someone reported less click through and that might be because the ads are slow to show up. I have been to a lot of sites and ity is frustrating when site doesn't load because of the ads. Zillions of years ago it used to be the same with banners loading slow but you would think that google would be able to serve ads faster than this. Iy might be that the old doubleclick site can't handle the traffic, but then they need to fix that.

I have the same issue with ANYTHING Google image related, and that includes Google owned Youtube when it's trying to fetch the thumbnails for videos. Same with adsense ads that have image banners. It's very frustrating when trying to view or even update my own sites and it's happening to other webmasters I've talked to as well. Something should be done soon!

Economy is bad, google can't afford the servers anymore, waiting for their stock to go back up to $700 before they can get a new server and hire a new sysadmin. lol :)
This problem pisses me off too... hundreds of site including some of mine take forever to load now because they are waiting for googleads.g.doubleclick... :-/ Time to switch to other network, CTR is horrible. :-/

Ditto to the slow ads... with the way my template sets up there are a few spots on my website which have to wait until the banner to show up before it positions properly. Its good a lot of the time but lately its irritating the players on my browser game.
