Adsense site with Adf.ly outbound links - Allowed or not?

Hi all, I have a site that I monetize mainly with adsense and CJ. I have a few download links to some of my files that I am using adf.ly to shorten the links and have some small earnings when a user downloads my file.

I have read that it is not a good idea to get traffic from adf.ly as a promotion but I am not doing this at all. 90% of my traffic is organic from google. Am I allowed to have these external adf.ly links with adsense? Thanks in advance :)

As long as those files don't violate the AdSense Program Policies you should be fine. Why do you need the links to be shorten? I'm assuming this is because they are affiliate links, you can use PHP Redirect, nofollow attribute and robots.txt to make your own website URLs to mask the real URL and prevent indexing of the link.

Thanks for the reply. The files are not copyrighted material or anything so I don't think they are in violation of the Polices whatsoever. No real need for url shortening or anything, I just wanted to make some extra revenue from people downloading files directly from my site, and figured a paid link shortener that is not very invasive like adf.ly was a good choice. If anyone has other suggestions I would love to hear them.
