    Adlogger says:

    (Today)
    Total Clicks: 111
    Unique Visitors That Clicked: 102

    AdSense says:
    29 clicks!

What the hell is going on?

well none of the tracker is 100% accurate.

Yeah - took me a while to realize that Adlogger OVERcounts clicks.. You will just have to put your faith in "G" ..

You shouldnt get some paranoid about google cheating, cmon they are a huge company, they wouldnt wanna do that and get sued by everyone, besides, in court, only googles stats will count, unless someone sets up people clicking and counts it with detailed proof.. then it would be click fraud so they wouldnt be able to sue. :p

when you say it counts mouseover clicks, would that be like "right" clicking and such?

Rollovers count as clicks as far as adlogger is concerned. Unless the clicks are invalid, google will always credit you with the clicks.

Havin faith is not enough - you need to collect and store proof that you are actively trying to prevent clickfraud from occurring on your site.

Many people who get banned from adsense that are innocent (I do not mean the people that use proxies or try to fool the system, but the people that do get caught up in random click attacks). In order to provide proof to google for re-inclusion, it is wise to gather proof that nothing untoward happened that was initiated or approved by the site owner.

Adlogger may not show proper clicks - it will shown unknown as the outbound link when it was a mouseover - maybe someone could help out adlogger coder and enable a filter to filter out all unknown clicks (this would hopefully make it more accurate and elmininate the inflated figures from mouseovers.

Not correct.. I have seen many times where it counts MY mouseovers as clicks, and it records the outbound ad-link like normal.. Funny thing is that it doesn't always record my mouseovers as clicks.. odd.. even with it's faults, I never leave home without it..

Sure, it maybe is few cents in my case, but look at it this way:

If they deliberately choose not to count a small % of everyones clicks. For you as a user that is just, like you said, a "few cents" (most people wouldnt even notice it). But if we put those cents together from all AdSense users? We are talking about a lot of money here.

And the sweet part is, noone can prove anything! Becouse by installing some wicked adlogger prog you would be breaking TOS and Googles lawyers would run you over. Isn't it sweet with multinational corporations? :D

    ps.
I'm not accusing anyone here, just thinking out loud.
