Hey there, I have seen a few forums including DP share revenue from adsense. I have been thinking about incorporating this idea on my own website, but I have a few questions first. 1. Is Adsense Revenue sharing against Google Adsense TOS? 2. Can you prompt a user in a form for their publisher ID without breaking the Google Adsense TOS? 3. When you display ads, can you have more than one publisher ID on a page? Basically, I am interested in creating a 50-50 split where half the time it's showing ads from one publisher ID and half the time the other. What do you guys think? Sincerely, Travis Walters
Only websites with over 100,000 daily page views across user pages are eligible to participate in the AdSense API program. Though you have as much above traffic, It is not a simple process. Read further all details here : http://code.google.com/apis/adsense/gettingstarted.html
listen to me and ignore the message above : yes to your three questions. I know because I've asked adsense directly and have already done it on several websites which I also asked adsense to review, without any problem. Yes you can have several adsense id on the same page as long as you respect the limits of 3 adsense, 3 adlinks and 2 adsense search maximum. Before, it wasn't allow to have differend ids on the same page at the same time, but now it is allowed.
Hey there, Thanks for the responses. I do not mean participating in the adsense API program. A 50-50 split in my definition would mean showing a forum posters ads 50% of the time and 50% of the time showing my ads. In a way it is revenue sharing because there is an equal change of somebody clicking an ad. I also do not mean giving them profit for clicking my ads. Please do not interpret it that way. I just want to show off their ads thinking it will make people want to write more forum posts and news articles. Sincerely, Travis Walters
Looks like I found what I wanted: http://adsense.blogspot.com/2008/07/sharing-your-ad-space.html So for anybody wondering, this is possible and accepted by adsense!
