It was expected and I don't think there is anything wrong with google trying to save advertisers interests. May be its time to start looking at other alternatives too
not true, my epc last year at this time was nearly double what it is now, and the ctr was better then as well. there are too many complaints about adsense these days to fob it off as a seasonal cycle.
DROP in everything since 15th Nov, clicks and revenue went to 50%. Thsi new adsense format is not good for us, and I think tis also not good for Google as well.. if we publishers are not earning so the google..
google could be making up for getting fewer clicks by cutting the amount that they give publishers for each click.
Since the new ad format was introducted I noticed a steep decline in revenue, but in the last few days I have noticed revenue is nearly back to normal. After looking at the stats I am seeing a higher cost per click. Hopefully in the long run this will work to my advantage.
Are gogle taking the piss or what? a CPC of 1.5cent is not right. and there search keyword targetting isnt working either. they better fix this or im off to clicksor.
at the beginning of the month i had an average of $5 a day and now it's $2,5 a day. I believe this is due to the seasonal period of christmas. I bet product related blogs found that their earnings are increasing.
I run about 10 sites, My newest site BizTravelGuru.com which is a low CPC site, is seeing a higher CPC but lower CTR. My oldest site ExchangeIS.com which has always had a high CPC, is also seeing a slightly higher CPC, and lower CTR
My earnings are down too, but they were normal for up to 3 weeks after the new "clickable area" change by adsense. It seems the last 5 days or so have been really really low, so I'm going to blame it on the holidays, and wait till January to see what happens.
In 5 years or so, I have never seen anything like this. About 6 weeks now at revenue of about 1/5 what I am used to.
