Hi I have launched a site wordingup.com to check synonyms of all words in text instantly. It has no other content (except standard items like "about"). My Adsense request was rejected with a reply "You don't have sufficient content...." . There are similar sites which provide spell checking or synonym service and has google ads on them I am wondering why my site was rejected. What other content google is expecting? I think my site is pretty good and people might use it. Anyone any clue?

Well, you don't have any content! Forget about adsesne. Just because other sites have it is not going to get it for you. Adsense have made their decision. Age of site has NOTHING to do with it, unless you are from some certain Asian countries.
The lack of content is the thing. People may have been accepted for adsense with another site and then applied it to the site you visited. Perhaps if you published your thesaurus you might be seen to have enough content? If you are reviewed manually you may get declined because the purpose of your tool is to spin content and game the search engines.
Its very disappointing. My site might be better serving to people than many other so call content rich sites. No worries, I guess time to move on. Thanks for the comments.
Yeah I don't want to game it. Just want to keep it straight. Anyway, I am keeping cache of most frequent words and using web services to get synonyms of new words.
