Generally when I look at my "top channels" report it sorts it from the highest paid site to lowest. All of a sudden the sorting makes no sense. Can't see where I changed anything. Anyone else experiencing this?
Same here and it is annoying after learning to read a report in one order to all of a sudden have it in a different format makes everything look off.
me too, very annoying to not see the order. of course we can click to see all channels and sort that way, but the instant glance method was much better and wasted less time.
the new way sucks. its probably a glitch. there is no rhyme or reason to it. its just all over the place. does anyone know if the did this for a particular reason?
Yep. Hope it's not a permanent change. Very annoying. Now you have to look at "all channels" and do your own sort -- two more steps.
I'm also glad I'm not the only one seeing this, and agree that the previous ordering criteria is much more preferable.
Yes same for me..and also i see they are doing a different javascript code now when you create a new adsense for content ad unit.... and it doesnt even work when you put it on a page..my old ones work but new doesnt.
The new ones do work - but they do state it takes a few minutes before ads will appear. I can only guess that once the ads are created with the new manage ads, that the adbot needs to check content before displaying ads while the old code would display ads straight away based on domain name or cached versions of the pages from previous adbot crawls etc. The new sorting is definately frustrating, but maybe google will implement a 'sorting preference' where publishers could choose their prefered default search when choosing top channels... Sort by: channel creation date alphabetical top performance It does only seem to have occurred in the last few days and would hopefully be addressed so that publishers can get a quicker overview of how things are looking on channels.
I noticed it yesterday and not sure if this just coincidence or not but my earnings are also down yesterday and today????
It may be a coincidence as my earnings per day fluctuates, it is hard for me to determine whether there has been any noticeable changes. I do not earn loads via adsense and therefore do not have high enough volume of traffic to see if there is any real correlation to the changes in reporting stats recently.
I am the same here! do you think the report now is sorting to the most working channels from the beginning in our accounts?
I have sent a note of protest to Google. Everyone else who doesn't like the new non-sorted results should do the same. Maybe they just don't know about the problem.
Any idea if this is a temporary thing, or will it be permanent. Trying to work out which channels are performing better is virtually impossible if you have a lot of them. The old way of displaying them was much better and easier to use. On the flip side I am glad that its not just me who has this problem. I thought I may have changed a setting somewhere in my adsense account, and spent ages trying to work out how to change it back again. Alex
I noticed that too and came here to ask about it and found this thread -- so yeppir I find it rather odd and annoying too...
