Adsense Reporting

Several questions about Adsense Reporting for the gurus (hope it's ok to ask multiple related questions in one post):

    1. Why do my reports some times show several clicks in for a particular channel and no earnings for that channel? As in the Channel3 line of the following:

    AdSense for content top channels 576 15 2.6% $1.47 $0.84
    Channel1 309 6 1.9% $2.53 $0.78
    Channel2 96 1 1.0% $0.64 $0.06
    Channel3 564 8 1.4% $0.00 $0.00

    2. Some times the number of clicks reported for eah search channel doesn't equal the total number of search clicks as in:

    AdSense for search top channels 23 9 39.1% $78.12 $1.80
    Channel1 13 3 23.1% $4.45 $0.06
    Channel2 5 0 0.0% $0.00 $0.00

The obvious answer to this question is that I must have some javascript code on my site that doesn't include a tag for a named channel, but I don't believe that is the case.

    3. How soon after a click on an ad unit does the click appear in the Adsense Report? Do the clicks and their associated earnings always appear at the same time (in other words, do the clicks ever appear in the report before the earnings do or do the show up at the same time)?

    4. Does AdSense automatically block payments for clicks generated on client IP number that are the same IP numbers AdSense publishers use to log in to their AdSense accounts? In other words, is google smart enough to realize that clicks generated from an IP number that is the same IP number as the person that logged into the AdSense control panel must often be illegitmate clicks from the site owner (of course this isn't always the case, especially when multiple users share an IP number as in a large household or business network).

Thank you kindly for your assistance.

    1. Most likely the clicks occured on PSAs (public service ads) or were detected as click fraud.
    2. Not all impressions must occur as part of a channel.
    3.
    4. Since, I'm not into click fraud, my answer comes from the other users reporting in this forum. It would seem that Google counts those clicks, but generally pays $0.00 for them.

Let me end with a prediction of a future posting in this forum.

BC: Google cancelled my account claiming click fraud. I swear, I have never clicked on my own ads.

    or

BC: My CTR is 75%, but my CPC is below $0.01. Adsense is a rip-off.

That's certainly not why asked my question. It's only natural that you click a few of the ads on your site as you development it for testing purposes and because, on occassions, an ad gets you curious and/or is as interesting to you as a visitor to your site. I was just curiuos if google automatically excluded clicks from IPs corresponding to Adsense control panel log-ins. Sounds like no one knows for sure if this is automatically the caes?

    Ohh MY MY MY....!
Am I reading right, or my eyes just went crap. or I am a complete moron who can not understand a single written line??????

Well First of all its Natural to a Complete Natural Moron only, who gives a damn to TOS, ever heard??? TOS?? Term of Services???
and 2nd - You dint get Natural curious/Intrested and clicked on your on ad, did you?

There are other ways to view the Advert's site if you get curious/intrested, ever heard >Preview Tool< ???

Any way You are violating Google's TOS

    1. by clicking your own ads
    2. by Posting your stats in a public forum.
    3. by not realizing that you are doing something wrong

And finaly the answer of your question -

    There are two possible reasons,
    1. Click are coming from PSAs
    2. Clicks are coming from YOU

    when following is the case-
The obvious answer to this question is that I must have some javascript code on my site that doesn't include a tag for a named channel, but I don't believe that is the case.

It usualy takes 10 minutes to half an hour

I'll answer this question but let me laugh first.....
    okay haah,
Ahem.....yes adsense Blocks payment for clicks generated on client IP if that is the same IP as publisher. Google is smarter than you can think of. and ofcource google is smart enough to think that one could use Shared IP, Thus Coockies come in to the scene.
actually google sets a scure cookie on you computer whenever you log in to Adsense account and will finds out when ever you click on your ads. Google monitor the pattern of your clicks, Location and lacality of your clicks.
an as I said they are Smarter than you could think of.

    SO....................
YES IF YOU ARE CLICKING ON YOUR OWN ADS CONTINUOUSLY THEN OFCOURCE GOOGLE WILL FILTER OUT YOUR IP, CONSIDER YOUR CLICKS AS SPAM, WILL LAUGH AT YOU AND WILL WAIT HAPPILY TILL YOU GET $100 MARK...TO BAN YOU.

    Phewwwww,

and if you are not clicking on your own ads (Swear it). then those clicks are must coming from PSAs.

No, it's not natural. It's called click-fraud and if you do it, then don't expect to ever make a cent with Adsense.

Clicking your own ads, or enticing friends and family to do so, is strictly forbidden and is grounds to be kicked out of the AdSense program. There's nothing "natural" about it. See my page on click fraud. If you want to see where the ads go, use a tool like the AdSense Preview Tool. Or paste the URLs into your browser. Don't click the ads!
