If you are trying to earn money online from Adsense - be aware that you need lots of traffic to make money with Adsense.

If you are not getting traffic - then here are a few ideas that might help you get some more.

    1. Write and submit articles to the article directories.
    2. Leave comments on other people’s blogs with a backlink to your site.
    3. Answer people’s questions on Yahoo! Answers - Home.
    4. Post in forums and have a link to your site in your signature.
    5. Write a press release and submit it to PRWeb::The Online Visibility Company
    6. Advertise your website in the appropriate category websites
    7. Give an unbiased testimonial on a product/service that you have used in exchange for a backlink to your site.
    8. Start a blog and submit it to the 100’s of free blog directories.
    9. Manually submit your website to the major search engines.
    10. Optimize each page of your website for a particular keyword or search phrase.

This is a start. It can be overwhelming can't it?

There are so many methods to try.

Find which method works for you and replicate it.

It's not just about traffic, its about genuine ad clicks. Proper positioning of ads plays an important role.

A lot of traffic is ok, but that is not all. You need quality traffic from a niche market. For example, if your site was submitted on digg.com and makes it to front page, you will be surprised the traffic surges significantly, but clicks are very few.

I agreed with you, proper places of ads will direct the user to see the ads. Either they click because they see the ads and interesting in the link or they click because they accidentally click the wrong link. :D
