    RIGHT THATS IT !!!!!! ;)

for the love of everything yummy...how on earth do you get adsense to show
relevent ads on a post that someone has only just done ??
the page hasn't been spidered as its only one second old... so how is it done?

ten long months now...and my ads which have been about solicitors and Mortgages on 1000's of pages...have just changed to 'posters' !!!
like anyone who comes to my site wants to buy them???huh??

not a single ad showing with any relevence, doesnt pay any attention to the page name,..the title...internal links...keywords...page description NOTHING..NADA ...NIENTE...nowt...zip..zilch...need i go on?

you point ...and i shall follow :D :D

Well...yes...theme, seniority of website and post frequency also factor in.

I have the same problem on this page:

    www.clantt.com/carinsurance/

For some reason I get ads about spyware, emergency rescure, car safety, etc. If you click the perm link for the sole blog entry on that page, you'll see ads about car insurance. I've been talking with Google about what the problem could be, but no resolution thus far.

Yup, I noticed that adsense detects content faster then ever in the past few months.

I am not sure what the problem is. When i go to your site I get 1 adlink on the right that says

    'Ads by Google
    Stolen Vehicle'

Seems relevant, or am I missing something here

    I checked your site twice.
only copied and pasted the last one:
    Ads by Google
    Vehicle Recovery

that's what you want prob. But the first time (sorry, no copy&paste), it said something like "Spyware infection" ...

so, maybe the trick is more different IP's visiting your page within a certain timeframe? could it be that simple? neah...

I've had ads be about car insurance/purchasing car insurance for months until recently. ALl of the sudden they were about spyware and other non-sense. They were loosely related at times (car safety) but for the most part they aren't even about car insurance.

Because of this, my CTR has plummeted, earnings have dropped about 90% (from $x,xxx.xx to $xx.xx) and I've had to resort to sticking to CJ banner ads.

Well I hit it a few times and get this:
    Ads by Google
Car Insurance Young Drivers State Farm Insurance Rates Norwich Union Car Insurance Free Car Insurance Rates Adrian Flux Car Insurance.

Which looks perfect to me. Your page content contains 'car insurance' in alt tags, titles and body so I am not seeing a problem. If your getting
There has to be a reason

Sometimes it is more difficult to find that reason with blogs and forums...but I am certain if you dig deep enough you'll find the reason.

    @infiniterb:

can you get an apache log (or whatever httpd you're using) and get the IP's that have vistited the page above? Maybe there's a treshold or something. maybe we (DP-ers visiting your page now) just got you over a critical number.

Those ads should be showing on:

    www.clantt.com/carinsurance/

Last night I changed the blog to show only one post so I could compare the two urls and the ads on each.

So it's not that Google likes you more than me. We both see the same ads. :)

Those ads are perfect on: http://www.clantt.com/carinsurance/2005/05/newfoundland-bans-car-insurance-rates.shtml

But those ads should also show on: www.clantt.com/carinsurance/ (which they don't).

Btw, sorry Gem for hijacking this thread :) But we have the same issue and I think Google needs to be made aware that it's not only happening to me, but to others as well.

this page definately does not show relevent ads
    http://www.justoneuk.com/Scotland/Edinburgh/Edinburgh-adult-education-schools.htm

how can i tell?..i dont think i have a single page with relevent ads in Scotland.

the word school appears on this particular page ??? times?.......i lose count.

the question is ..will it change just because i post a link to the page?
i have tried this on other pages...and it did not work.

so here goes another test........ if i cant get ads about schools, education or some form of learning...i'm gonna have to write a fat e-mail to google.
