Alright I need some help. I have two blogs up and running. Both have been up for 48 hours and due to well planned timing and exposure I was able to get over 15k visitors in a 48 hours period. That made 11 bucks over two days. One is a celebrity blog and I don't think I can do anything else adsense wise to make people click. Unless of course there are recommendations from people other than adsense I guess to get more money. Now on another blog it's about television shows. Well Random tv show blog posts will have almost all irrelevant ads. I think it has something to do with the title / url of my blog (has the word "lifeline" in the url). For example a post about the tv show Fringe has all adsense ads about home security, senior citizen security/life alert, while a blog post about House will have all house tv show related ads or close to 100% I'd love to get some tips on the celebrity blog, how to take advantage of it (lots of britney spears fans from youtube because of some content I have up). My priority though is the tv show blog. Please help with relevancy. I've also added Kontera in hopes of increasing ad revenue. Though adsense just isn't going to work for the television blog if some of the most viewed blog posts have totally irrelevant ads.
You can focus the adsense bot on contents by using <!-- google_ad_section_start --> Text for adsense bot <!-- google_ad_section_end -->
Is that something I can paste into a wordpress blog post? Kind of sucks, but I guess that's what I have to do for the posts that churn up useless ads. Mostly video content, so lack of blog post text material for sure.
If it is all video content, you need to provide some text contents for the adsense to show relevant ads. For video contents, you can provide text by writing your commentary with targetted keywords. Or you can direct the bot to use contents inside <!-- google_ad_section_start --> Text for adsense bot <!-- google_ad_section_end -->
There is actually text, random blog posts (so far only like 5%) seem to just use the word from the domain / title on wordpress as the keyword to display all ads about. All the ads are about the one word in the name of the site which doesn't have to do with the content
