Did you know that Connect Commerce (AKA DoubleClick Performics) is changing to the Google Affiliate Network also? I've done very well with ConnectCommerce in the past.
How about this: Han anyone actually used the Google Affiliate Network? Suddenly they're trying to push us into it, but I really haven't heard of it before tonight. Maybe if we get in early they'll treat us good for a while for the word-of-mouth advertising
I received the same mail. For it is not problem. I didn't make so much money from referrals, I prefer standard ads. I canceled some referrals some time ago from my pages, now I only cancel rest of them.
i have seen people making thousands from google adsense referral ads. A big slap on those people. G need to put same type of something early as possible otherwise as ppl are saying google may sucks in the future.
The replacement is the Google Affiliate Network. See http://www.performics.com Also here is a Google PR about the aquisition: http://www.google.com/intl/en/press/pressrel/20080311_doubleclick.html
yep, I never hear about performics before, but being a google service I assume that will be a good one. I recently signed with them too but the process goes through a site validation, blah, blah,.... dont know why google just add those adsense publishers working with referrals to performics automatically, or better a 100% integration (user/pass) as most of google services. IMO google is creating with this decision a CJ competitor to beat valueclick
I cannot believe they are canceling it. I am making 80 percent of my adsense earning through referral program. I really hope something else will be in place by the time program stops working
I signed up for Performics, but they EMAIL SPAMMED me senseless. So bad, in fact, that I quit the program, before I even implemented one ad. I detest email spam. Even CJ wasn't as bad, and I quit them too. Spammers. Even when you specify NO EMAIL promotions, you get them anyway. They think they are clever. I think they are gone.
DAmn I made more than 3K a month with FF referrals - I emailed FF to see if something else would be done.
Same as here. Im more on content related ads and google search. Hmm.. I wonder how effective their new affiliated network is...
wow, impressive, however is not mozilla / firefox who is paying for the referrals, actually google is since the FF installation includes the google toolbar which is the one paying for it
do we need to re-signup to connectcommerce? https://www.connectcommerce.com/secure/partner_app_alt.html A bored and long form
