Lately I've been experimenting with the ad filter and used adsblacklist to filter out the MFA's and LCPC. I haven't seen a substantial improvement, because one day earnings are up, another it's down whether I am using the filter or not.

I email adsense team and asked them what they recommend, because I read somewhere that using adsblackllist actually led to reduced earnings.

    My Email:
    Their Response:

So what do you guys think? Maybe I'll experiment for a longer time and give it a few more weeks, but from your experience what worked and what didn't work for you?

Nope. This is not true. At least, not the way most people would take it to be. CTR. That is the key. CTR I believe is aggregated across ALL sites the particular ad appears on. If so, and if it is written very well, which a lot of these MFAA ads ARE, then it will be clicked quite often even if it pays only $0.01 per click. High CTR outweighs the CPC (when put into their apparent formulas) and the low 1-cent wonder ad is shown. Since it is written very well, it is clicked more, thus driving the CTR up even further.

I have proven this time and time again on my site. Filter sites and CPC goes up. That would not be the case if what Google says above is to be taken at face value. If it were true, then by filtering the low paying sites would mean there would be only lower-still ads left in the inventory to show, and my CPC would plummet further. Repeated tests have shown this to be not true.

My two-MFAA-click's worth (ie 2 cents)

Manual, and keep checking my pages for new ones that inevitably appear. The price of Liberty (from MFAA sites) is Constant Vigilance.

    Hello ooza

Thank you for your interest in AdsBlackList.com

We would like to make clear the purpose of AdsBlackList.com in order for you to decide if you should continue to use the service.

AdsBlackList.com is a unique project designed to enable you to dramatically reduce the amount of MFA (made for ads) and LCPC (low cost per click) sites which appear through the use of PPC systems such as Google Adsenseâ„¢, Yahoo Publisher Networkâ„¢ and Chitika eMiniMallsâ„¢

We have thousands of members who regularly report increases in earnings, but this is not the intention of the service. MFA & LCPC sites appear because the advertisers use underhanded tactics to ensure their ads are delivered and seen by everyone, regardless of the search keyword/content.

Google readily admits they respect an 'adsense arbitrage' business model... a stance backed up by their poor response to such abuse.

If you run Adsense purely to make money, AdsBlackList is not likely to help you. If you run Adsense to provide your users with valuable, high quality content AND make money... AdsBlackList will help.

Google appear to stand by the claim that blocking MFA sites is not advisable because of the nature of the program; picking the best/most profitable advert for your site. We can categorically state that at least 7000 members feel the content isn't high quality, and is actually stripped or stolen content created purely for the purposes of using your visitors to make money.

To make money from Adsense, we need to understand that our users aren't visiting to look at adverts... they want quality content. If your Adsense account provides such content, users will not only click the adverts, but are far more likely to click again in future... treating your ads as an extension to your site.

If users hit a single MFA advert (even a higher paying one) only to be taken to a junk site riddled with adverts, they are FAR less likely to try again in future. Would you?

Independent tests have proven most MFA sites offer very low CPC rates, but this isn't always true. If you have 1 click to a high paying MFA, you can almost guarantee that visitor will never click another advert. You've spent hundreds/thousands of dollars on marketing, only to sell your valuable traffic/visitors for a few cents.

Let's say, for arguments sake, that user clicks an advert on another site running Adsense... only to be given another junk page! Once visitors associate 'Adsense' with 'junk' and using the back button, CTR rates drop across all sites.

    Two things to remember:
    1. There's no company, crawler or bot that understands YOUR business better than YOU
    2. It's the Adwords advertiser that pays you, not Google... shouldn't you choose the content that appears on YOUR site?

    We welcome any further questions.

    Kind regards,

    AdsBlackList.com
