Adsense Rates on Weekends

Discussion in 'Reporting & Stats' started by softstor, Nov 19, 2005.

I have been looking at my adsense reports and it always seems that they pay less on weekends for my sites than on weekdays.

Does anyone else get similiar results?

I do on my sites, probably due to the fact that I have about half the visitors during the weekend.

My top days are Thurs. and Fri.

My sites also get less traffic on weekends. But if I divide the payment amount by the number of clicks, the number is much smaller per click on weekends than on weekdays.

Advertisers could be putting out less money for weekends, knowing that fewer people are on the internet.

Sorry misunderstood your question. It is probably time for bed.

To answer your question, No my revenue per click is the same on weekends. I do notice that some days are remarkably better than others but this doesn't seem to depend on the day of the week. Just luck I guess (or smart pricing:confused: ).

I think it rather depends on your market segment - for business oriented phrases I'd expect a drop, for entertainment I'd expect an increase.

This is certainly what I see - the one entertainment oriented site always gets not only more visits and more clicks at the weekend but also a higher CPC too.

It's the same with me. Tuesday, wednesday and thursday are almost 100% more in revenue. The traffic is lower but only about 25-50%
I think it's the kind of surfer ..as most of my sites are business related.

My stats show traffic peaking on Tuesday and slowly declining through the week and into Sunday. Then it grows on Monday and the process repeats. Consequently my AdSense earnings tend to be highest on Tuesday / Wednesday and fade off towards the weekend.

There are a number of reasons for this as far as I can think of.

    1. Less people at their workstations over the weekend
    2. People have more interesting things to do over the weekend
    3. Advertisers pausing campaigns

Just to let you know (in case you didn't read it) ... Jenstar posted on the correlation between holiday weekends and a drop in earnings. Check it out.

hmm,, i guess all sites are different,, My main 2 sites have their highest days on the weekends,, one on sat and the other on sunday... I believe it just relates to the type of site,,, but I have a friend and he makes way more sales on his sites on weekends,, i think sites that may cater to business people may have higher sales in the week days,, and maybe sites aimed towards entertainment, sports, clothing etc etc may do better on the weekends
