AdSense rant thread

I remember when John Chow called me a Google whore after he saw my site in the Vancouver Sun.
But isn't that a huge reflection of what AdSense is? I, personally, I don't like them at all, but I have to make a living. Even if I'm only 13....

So please post your rants and the solutions you might have for some of the problems!

 

You want to work on your blending!
I suppose my only real rant is the cloak and dagger way Google approach business - they don't communicate with the AdSense publishers. A perfect example of this is the way they parrot the TOS, but can't give an opinion on anything else. They're also the masters of failing to answer a straightforward question!

 

Blending does need work... but the text above the ads... "Payin' The Bills" is that legal?..

 

I was wondering the same thing... all i ever see is "publishers are not permitted to label the Google ads with text other than "sponsored links" or "advertisements."

I certainly hope it's legal! I accidently told people to click my ads once and got in a spot of trouble, fortunately I changed it fast. I saw it on some TV show's website so I assume it's legal, also it doesn't say anything about not being an ad.

As for me, I hate how you can't direct your earnings straight into a bank account. I've been waiting for my pin for a month now, and I wan't to stop adsense, but I can't until I clear my earnings

 

Also, could you explain what you mean by blending?

 

Blending = Making your ads look as much like the page as possible - basically making the ad text the same color as the page text and ad background same color as page backgound.

you can do a slightly change to make it legal. and it doesnt matter if you are 13 since you use credit card of someone who are over 18. just dont tell more people you are 13 and run adsense (some guys linke to report others) 0.25$ is better than nothing for my view. ^^

 

Haha, no kidding. But it kills me to know that my money is locked up in that black hole Google calls AdSense!

I think I might just screw them and give them my money as a sign of surrender

 

I find this hilarious! Thanks to this rant thread, I've been getting more hits, thus making more money off of AdSense! But I have to admit... it's not very much, but still a chunk of change
