I have setup channels in my adsense account for different sites like www.digitalpoint.com and others but for some reason it can only track it for the aggregate but not individually.

anyone know what i am doing wrong? am i meant to be forums.digitalpoint.com or is www.digitalpoint.com fine?

i cant figure out where i am getting my impressions and clicks from.

    thanks.

It doesn't matter what you name the channel, as that is for your reference only. When you look at the adsense code, you see a channel id number, (which if you are tracking for DP, you should put in your preferences here where you set up the google pubid number).

From there, whenever you want to track via a channel, make sure you state that when you are creating the code (button you click) and it will put the channel id in it.

    i hope that made sense.

After you set up channels you have to wait up to 48 hrs for data to show up in stats. However when you create channels they should be visible immediately by accessing your account. When you first enter account they will show on the right hand side with checkboxes.

In 2 days or so you can access your account>below the pulldown menu on the right choose select'all'> Click radio button above called 'channel data'> Click radio button on left called 'Channel'> Select date range of '2 days ago' or 'this month'...your channel stats will now show...good luck :)

ya i mean url channels... not the type of channels that create unique ids...

just create a url channel for each site & wait 48 hrs?

will previous data come up for those channels or only new data since the url channel was added?

    thnx

You have to wait 48 hours for all types of channel data to appear. The channel data will only be collected from the date it is created. If you want to track ads on this forum you need to use forums.digitalpoint.com
