Adsense question / error ??

Afternoon all,

I am hoping someone can answer why on my site I have adsense setup and its working strange?

My issue is this :

When I use the www.mylink.com it shows a certain set of not truly related ads but when I use the mylink.com WITHOUT the www in front, it shows my closley related ads to the site.

Is there anyway of fixing this or ?

I cannot really understand, could make it clearer.

 

What I mean is this when you hit my site with a www. in front of it, the ads are not as site specific as if you hit the site WITHOUT the www. in front of it so here we go best I can explain.

mysitename.com is more site specific ads
www.mysitename.com is lesss specific ads

How come? Same site same content etc just a www. before it

 

Google algorithm which displays ad consider www.domain.com and domain.com different, may be www is considered as a separate keyword

 

So I guess for ad purposes I should start point people/traffic to mysitename.com WITHOUT the www. in front ?

 

But the problem is many people will continue to type www.domain.com

 

Yeah I have thought about that. I have purchased a domain name that goes more with the site than the current one and am point www.newdomainname.com to the mysitename.com without the www.

I guess I will see how this works, sort of wierd though BOTH of my sites are PR3 on their way up to 4 but the ads look different.
