I would like to know what you think of the placement and colors of the Google Ads on my blog @ http://aullah.com/. I kept the default colors because I figured, blue would get more clicks. Currently I'm not getting any clicks on my ads and getting an average of 31.15 visits a day. I've had 498 uniques this month and my blog's been running for 1 Months, 27 days. For some reason today I only got 2 page impressions on my Google ads today, 17 yesterday and 939 in the last 7 days. I'd also like to know what you think about my niche and content e.g. too much competition, wack content, good content etc. Much appreciated .
The blog looks good, nice and clean. I don't think there's anything wrong with your ad colors. But since you blog about many different stories and topics, Google's going to have a hard time making the ads fit the content. The technology niche is broad, and it will be hard for your ads to relate to the stories you blog about. For example: If your entire website were about needlepoint, your ads would be about needlepoint, and your readers would be people who actually do needlepoint (and would click the ads a lot more).
Thanks for your comment Vozzek. I know what you mean, but once you click on the story the ads are more related to the content than on the main page due to different tech stories on there. Haha, yeah it is (at least I think so). I'll take that as a compliment .
You get an 'A' for site design. Very clean, which is what you want. But your ads are in the "wrong" spots. That's why no one is clicking them. Think upper left of your text area and end of your text area. Wrap your text around the upper ad block. I always use 250X250 or (most often) 300X250 up there. For more, I have a free report in my sig you can read over. Should help you. John
style of your website blend in well with the ads . Ads without background color and borders perfom better than ads within borders with background color. ^^
You positively want the ads to look like part of your content!!! It's the secret to high adsense earnings. To thesamemanhal who asked "is this allowed by google" - why the hell do you think they give you the option to choose any text, body, url, background and border colour you want. You can now even change the font type and size. Do you actually use adsense! End of rant. Blog looks fine to me but change the urls on adsense to green, also try a few big adsense blocks with your text wrapped around them - this will start bringing you in adsense revenue. Regards Dickie
i posted this in the other thread: be careful making it seem part of the your content is an offense, and might get you in trouble with Google. Google says too much blending is illegal, if you are making people think that ads are part of the content, and if you are making them click unintentionally then you might want to consider the way you are implementing the ads on your website, otherwise one day you might receive a termination of account email from Google.
True, since it's broad do you think it's a fail? Like it's not going to succeed or won't bring in revenue? Would like more opinions on my content, thanks.
