Adsense policy changes for the worse

Google updated their competitive ads policy today. What a hose job. No more running YPN and Adsense 50/50 or any ads that look like adsense.

Read JenSense's post about it here.

You'd think they'd just be happy with the truckloads of cash we're all bringing in.

Google is just concerned about having lesser known ad networks copy their ad styles and layouts. They want to make sure their ads are distinguishable so visitors realize they are clicking on Google ads.

I should note that they are also pressuring publishers into making a major decision: Google or else!

I`m glad i decided to quit adsense a while ago... Another reason for others to start looking for a different program.

I dont know what is wrong with adsense? Are they trying to loose their publishers? They are not even having enough publishers to fulfill the needed bought advertising.

byteventures: They're afraid someone will copy a simple text link ad? Their ads aren't exactly ground breaking.
Maybe it's time to work a little harder at affiliates and such to diversify further away from adsense...

I thought they did invent text-link ads, or at least made them generally available to the small publisher!
