Adsense placement recommendations needed

    When it opened, all I saw was an ad unit and your nav bar

    Maybe my personal preference, but whenever I go to any site and right off the bat, there is that huge adsense block, I move on quickly!

    Get some content, it is a blog, not a damn place to put adsense.
    Then get rid of that huge adsense block, at once!
    Use the banner ad....

    I realize that, but the thing is, if visitors only see ads, they are not going to take the time to find your content
