we are not allowed to put adsense under a title or menu bar, can we add adsense codes at the beginning of the page?

 

Certainly, provided that there is no title at the very beginning of the page.

I went back in an reread their guidelines. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can place adsense blocks under titles if they have a border or if the title doesn't mislead you into clicking.

The whole idea is not to blend the ads in so much that it looks like article or menu links. But a border means you've done your due diligence in separating the ad from the contents. Even if it's the lightest shade against your background possible.

Same thing applies to pictures. You can put them next to each other with the appropriate borders. I run a gallery site, so this had been driving me nuts.

If you're not sure about your specific placement, contact Adsense and ask.

It means that if you are going to have ads under titles with borders, or ads next to pictures with borders, you should also contact Adsense and make sure they are okay with it.
