That is because Adsense crawl your site and there is no text neede to deliver advertising.

Try add keyword-rich descriptions to all your images 'alt=' tags

My tip would be allow your gallery creators to add some other information onto the page, about them, their gallery and most importantly their image.

Bow to me, the king (or soon to be king) of online image galleries. (cough-seesignature-cough)

My advice is, yeah, add some kind of text to the pages or it will be very difficult to get any love from Google. The good thing, though, is that without much text content on your page, the Google ads are forced to use you metatags to figure out what the page is about - and you can use this help steer your ads toward certain (relevant) keywords.

But don't try stuffing totally irrelevant keywords into the mix. Don't try to put automobile or mesothelioma into... oh, I don't know, say... a webpage about comic books. Google is much too smart for that and it won't work.

thanks for the pointers, im getting relevant ads of course low value between 0.01 cents to 0.15, i estimate. Since obviously im not aiming for dell computers or cancer, but my may concern it's the click through rate because i'm aiming for high volume of pageviews
    thanks for the ideas
ive used some alt tags, by the way im using coppermine
