Adsense Pet Peeves

Well my adsense pet peeve is how the cpc varies so much everyday. For instance, Yesterday one of my sites received 75 clicks for $14.xx, today it already has 72 clicks and only $3.72. I made some adjustments to my ad filter a few hours ago and just now the clicks are steadily bringing in $.15-$.30 again. It just bug's me that I need to stay on top of the ad filter in order to make this site really profitable. Anyone feel the same way and better yet have a fairly decent strategy to overcome this?

I am currently running an Adwords campaign to drive traffic to my AdSense sponsored site. I am so close to being profitable at it! But when the CPC (on both ends) keeps moving and my AdWords stats are 3 hours delayed, it is almost impossible to adjust on the fly with any certainty.

I'm working on my sixth sense now, I'll let you know when you can link to it :D

I hate the stupid Hurrican Katrina relief ads that show up when adsense can't find any good ads.

If it's an eyesore, turn off PSA's.

I tried this, but then I have blank areas where the ads should be, and makes the pages look 'holey'.

    later,

if you use collapsable ads, then 'nothing' shows when they have no ad, and it takes up no space on your page - it's like nothing is there at all..

That's why you should make it a goal to have enough content on every page so at least legit ad's are coming up.
