Adsense Performance on Technology Content?

    Hi Folks,

    What do you think about adsense performance (CPC & CTR) on a blog or website that has content about a particular technology (like Unix)? Just wanted to know if writing technical content is a good way to make money from adsense.

    CPC might be high yes, but CTR will be very low due to the audience. In the end the CPM could be ok and still worth your worktime, if you can generate enough traffic, because it's always the same story, traffic is vital for earnings.

    I recommend affiliate programs over adsense honestly. :)

    Writing about technology is a tough nut to crack. If you are very knowledgeable about this topic generate an actual product that is your and sell it yourself. I do understand that when I started I was told this same information and it discouraged me, I wanted income now. It is true what you here, take the time to build your product and you will make money.

    The CPM isn't terrible, but you should look into selling your own ads to UNIX Vendors and Server Providers.
